Questions with a question word put the verb second, like normal sentences. Yes/no questions put the verb first.
Wo wohnen Sie? (Where do you live?)

Sprechen Sie Englisch? (Do you speak English?)
Haben Sie Erfahrung? (Do you have experience?)
It’s always fine to ask someone to repeat or speak slowly. Germans appreciate the effort.
